Frederiksberg Hallerne
AG5 in collaboration with Consulting engineers Jens Peter Madsen have designed a new 1.060m ² extension to Frederiksberg sports halls. Frederiksberg halls is the home of well known handball and football clubs such as FIF, BK Ydun and FA2000.
The project is an extension to the existing sports complex. It is designed in 2 levels incorporating new bigger and better changing facilities on the ground floor and an expansion of the club, activity and accommodation facilities on the upper floor. The new upper level club rooms will house Boldklubben FA2000.
A new large 250 m² protected terrace affords direct views to the newly landscaped artificial turf playing field adjacent of the new extension. Direct access to the terrace can be gained from the cafe, activity and club rooms.
The project focuses on optimizing daylight conditions, sustainable materials and energy optimization. The design will conform to the strict Danish energy classification; low-energy class 2015. The project is currently in progress and is due to be completed in October 2013
